Shooting Day Three, Four, Five and Six!!

Shooting more rapping to camera. At the studio and in the streets.
As I was working alone I found it difficult to follow my original storyboard because I had to rely on actors and people to be in my video. I couldn't find anyone who was willing to be in it, So

I had to re-storyboard a short narrative about the boy, who is
trying to  do the right thing, he has a toy aeroplane which was a

gift from  his father who dies and he holds this to motivate

himself.
This is an altered version of my original idea, but actually i think it works better and is a bit more fitting with the genre. I am focussing on one guy in the narrative who could represent the 'inner' character of the artist. A bit like eminem's song Stan, in the video an actor plays the character who we all know is a bit like Eminem. I just need to find someone to be i it now!

Shooting Day Two

I arranged for the boys to have the same outfits on the next shoot day. It was important that we had the continuity. We shoot against a glass tiled wall. the wall is symbolic of the barriers in life, as in any of the videos I have watched for research.
We filmed a bit but the boys were restful and again- because i am working on my own it was hard to direct a large group.
On reviewing the footage i realised I need to focus on shooting ECUs and CUs as this was lacking.

Shooting Day One

My Block
I filmed today- some of the group scene with a group of boys who had agreed to be in my video acting as 'the gang'. Along with my cousin. It was difficult organising a group of boys on my own, directing and trying to get them to take it seriously. We brought along props such as a baseball bat and bandanas to represent the 'thuggish' stereotype of youth. I also made sure my cousin had the correct outfit which was a hoody- linking him to the youth, but a personalised bright one to signify him as the artist. This also fits into the genre as rap artist are normally quite boastful/ show offs and would have their name on their top etc.

King Sour Da MC - Airplanes Remix

This my song, my cousins remix. He has this posted on youtube and you can see from the images the rapper himself (my cousin)
His image is very 'street' and fits into the hiphop/rap genre. I would compare him to artists such as Lowkey and Jay Sean in that he is a young asian boy breaking into the mainstream market. There are more young asian artists making this move and I want to represent this. However they often take characteristics of well known rappers such as Eminem and Tupac Shakur such as
- confidence and young
- good looking
- casual clothing associated with youth such hoodys, jeans, and trendy hats
- jewllery such as big chains and ears pierced

This is one of the songs I like very much and I wanted to create a video for this song but as you can see above a video has professionally been made. So I have been in contact with my cousin and asked him to remix the track and also for him to rap in the song as well which will make it original.
